Cannelloni with Bolognese Filling

This classic cannelloni with bolognese filling recipe has to be Italian comfort food at its best. The pasta is stuffed with a delicious bolognese sauce, topped with Parmesan cheese. You need to try it.

Ingredients ⤵️
12 cannelloni tubes
300ml double cream
75g grated parmesan cheese
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, peeled and finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
500g minced beef steak
2 Tbsp freshly chopped oregano
400g chopped tomatoes
1 tbsp sun-dried tomato paste
salt and freshly ground black pepper

Instructions ⤵️
1️⃣  Preheat the oven to 200, 15 minutes before cooking the stuffed cannelloni. 
2️⃣  Heat oil in a large pan, add the onion and garlic, and cook for 8 minutes.  Add the minced beef and cook,  until the meat is browned.
3️⃣  Stir in chili, oregano, tomatoes, and tomato paste. Season well with salt. Bring to the boil, cover, and lower the heat, then simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. 
4️⃣ Using a teaspoon, fill the cannelloni tubes with the meat filling. Lay the stuffed cannelloni side by side in a lightly oiled ovenproof dish.
Mix the double cream with three-quarters of the Parmesan cheese. Pour 5️⃣  over the cannelloni and sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until golden-brown and bubbling. Serve immediately with a garden salad.
